Marina DURDON-DUMONT
After a BTS in wine-making and studies in business and marketing, Marina Durdon-Dumont returned to the fold... Co-managing director, she presides over the destiny of the family estate located in the Marne Valley, near Dormans.Covering the territory of two villages, Vandières and Vincelles, the vineyard extends over 7.5 hectares, divided into 57 parcels! A veritable jigsaw puzzle planted with the three great Champagne grape varieties, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and, for the most part, Pinot Meunier. HVE level 4 certification and a commitment to Viticulture Durable en Champagne (VDC) are the hallmarks of Marina Durdon-Dumont's approach to viticulture, which is highly respectful of nature: the soils are worked so as to enable the root system to penetrate deep into the soil, in search of the terroir's mineral expression. The range of champagnes is quite extensive, with blend cuvées such as Harmonie - 70% pinot meunier, 15% pinot noir and 15% chardonnay - or Séduction - equal parts chardonnay and pinot noir - and single-varietal cuvées. Among the latter, the cuvée dedicated to pinot meunier comes from two parcels of old vines over 60 years old. Tasty, greedy and fresh, it boasts aromatic complexity marked by notes of white-fleshed fruit.
