Lolita CHEVREAU
Head sommelier : 1 restaurantWhen she was younger, Lolita Chevreau wanted to be a "nose". That's why she initially turned to perfumery, but a sabbatical year made her realize her love for sommellerie. "There was everything I loved about perfumes, but wine has this asset that it can be shared and is more accessible, it makes you travel," she explains.
So, in 2018, she joined the Frenchie wine bar in Paris for a summer."For them, it was a stopgap; for me, it was the opportunity of a lifetime," confides Lolita Chevreau. Then, after a few months in the vineyards, she moved to Lyon to learn the ropes at Ludovic and Tabata Mey's 2-toque restaurant Les Apothicaires, a semi-finalist in season 3 of "Top Chef".
After a four-month trip to Asia, the self-taught sommelier returned to Lyon, this time to the Regain restaurant. It was there that she won the Sommelier Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes trophy at the Gault&Millau Tour 2022. But having grown up on the island of Saint-Martin, in the West Indies, Lolita Chevreau increasingly feels the call of the sea. Her next adventure, it's decided, will be in Marseille.
