Presentation

Chef Cyril Leclerc has quietly taken over the Château d'Adoménil, contributing to its reputation in eastern France.

His story begins with pastry-making. "I wanted to go to hotel school. Unfortunately, I didn't get the chance. A little out of spite, I started an apprenticeship in pastry-making."In 1994, he joined Maison Lalonde in Nancy as a chocolate confectioner. In 1996, he met his future wife, who led him towards his teenage dreams: his father-in-law, Michel Million, offered him the chance to join the brigade at Château d'Adoménil as a pastry chef. M. Million asked me to adapt my technique from boutique pastry chef to cook. "By dint of hard work and inventiveness, the owner offered him the position of kitchen assistant in 1998, before moving up to second in 2000 and then chef in 2003.

In 2007, the Millions reached the end of their career and wanted to sell their business. Finding it a pity that the château was leaving the family, Cyril Leclerc and his wife Sophie took up the torch, choosing to maintain the establishment's codes:"We've kept its entity while bringing our personality to it."

To date, Cyril Leclerc has cut his teeth as a chef in just one establishment, his own, but he has no regrets:"It's often said that the self-taught are the most passionate."
