Head waiter : 1 restaurant Hired by L'Auberge de l'Ill as soon as she finished her studies, Ana Bastian, aged just 23, won the Jeune Talent en Salle Grand Est 2023 trophy.
Presentation

Before turning to the world of catering, Ana Bastian wanted to become a nurse. "But my application was rejected. So I took a job in a pizzeria in Stosswihr." She liked the job straight away. " The contact with people, chatting with them, giving them a smile... I realized that it was an environment that interested me a lot." In no time at all, the young woman enrolled at Guebwiller high school (Haut-Rhin) and completed her BTS under a sandwich course at Marc Haeberlin's prestigious Auberge de l'Ill. "There wasn't really any in-between, I went from a pizzeria to the Auberge, it was incredible for me!"

The experience went so well that, in October 2022, she was hired as half-chef de rang at the establishment. "At first, I was very impressed by the place; I was entering an environment totally different from what I knew. Today, I feel very fulfilled in my work. The contact with the customer, the team at L'Auberge de l'Ill... It's really enriching." A love for the profession quickly noticed by Gault&Millau, which awarded her the Jeune Talent en Salle Grand Est 2023 trophy.
