Yoni Saada signs the menu of the Marius restaurant in the Gare de Lyon

Mathilde Bourge | 6/28/24

A new restaurant opens at the Gare de Lyon in Paris at the end of June. It's Marius, a Mediterranean address led by chef Yoni Saada.

From the end of June 2024, travelers passing through Paris's Gare de Lyon will have a new place to enjoy their meal while waiting for their train. SSP France, world leader in transport catering, is opening the Marius restaurant in collaboration with Yoni Saada, who won the Gault&Millau Dotation for Young Talent in 2014. What will be the culinary universe of this new establishment? What will we be able to eat there? The chef tells us all.

From breakfast to dinner

At Chez Marius, there's something to enjoy all day long, from breakfast to dinner. And whichever meal you choose, the culinary imprint will always be the same, blending Mediterranean flavors and creativity, all made with seasonal produce.

For example, Yoni Saada has imagined "a menu brimming with sunshine and spices", which "celebrates conviviality and generosity", with brick pastry with a hint of spice. rosité", with brick with Goulette egg, Ortiz sardines, sea bream tajine with preserved lemon or lamb chops with chermoula. In the morning, you can enjoy a typical French breakfast with viennoiseries and boiled egg, but the more daring can be tempted by the Mediterranean brunch, consisting of shakshuka, labne and Kalamata olives. A real dose of color that will almost make you forget the surroundings of the Gare de Lyon. The chef's aim was to "create a place that breaks away from the hustle and bustle of the station, where people are often too stressed and in too much of a hurry". Chez Marius is a real "invitation to slow down, take your time and enjoy the present moment", he assures us.

As for beverages, the restaurant also offers a selection of wines from the Mediterranean region, to accompany festive moments as well as shorter ones, for those who should hurry back on their train journey.

  • Where to buy? Marius, Gare de Lyon, Place Louis Armand, 75012 Paris
  • Open daily from 5.30 a.m. to 9.30 p.m.
