A new opening in an unusual location for Comptoir Paul Bocuse
The Paul Bocuse street-food chain moves into a new, original location for its fifth opening. A counter with an efficient menu and generous products, in the heart of Lyon.
In Lyon's sixth arrondissement, on Boulevard des Belges, the brand-new Bocuse Original Comptoir has opened its doors, with a takeaway menu only for the time being. And with good reason: the restaurant is housed in a former newspaper kiosk!
A real challenge
The brand has taken up residence in a former newsstand in the 6ᵉ arrondissement, specially refurbished for the occasion. As the space is only 8 m², the products are sold exclusively on a takeaway basis, at least for the time being. What's more, only the assembly and temperature control takes place in the kiosk. Everything is homemade directly in the breweries, as Sylvain Girot, the Group's Managing Director, explains.
The menu features a shorter version of the traditional Comptoirs Bocuse menu. These include a generous truffle croque-monsieur, a crispy chicken burger, a vegetarian bell pepper and goat cheese sandwich, and a hot dog. The menu also includes pommes dauphines as a side dish. A number of sweet options are also available.
A fifth opening for the concept
In addition to its many restaurants and brasseries, and its counter at the eponymous Les Halles, the Paul Bocuse group has renewed itself with the opening of the "Bocuse Original Comptoir", a concept dedicated to "fast casual" street food, Bocuse-style. The newsstand marks the fifth opening of this concept and the second in Lyon.
Since 2018, Bocuse Original Comptoir has taken a more accessible approach to Paul Bocuse's cuisine, skilfully blending the codes of Lyon's brasseries with street-food classics. In keeping with the house tradition, recipes are developed by chefs, using fresh, high-quality produce.
