Saint-Joseph: the best in red and white

Situated on the right bank of the Rhône, the Saint Joseph appellation stretches for almost 60 kilometers from north to south, between Chavanay and Guilherand-Granges, opposite Valence. Its AOC decree, published in 1956, covered just six communes at the time. Revised twice, it now covers 1415 hectares of vines, planted in 23 communes in the Ardèche and Loire departments.

A 100% Roussanne cuvée where the grape fully expresses itself with aromas of pineapple, apricot, jasmine and notes of honey, clove and smoke. The wine is full-bodied and generous, with a velvety texture that remains fresh and easy to digest. Fruit flavors (peach, lemon, kumquat) harmonize with floral nuances. The finish is persistent, marked by a beautiful minerality and great length. drink now or cellar as you wish.

the nose expresses a tiny bit of evolution, with aromas of dried fruit, hazelnut, almond, dried flowers and a hint of petrol. On the palate, the attack is lively, followed by a round texture and well-integrated bitterness, with notes of quince jam and grapefruit zest. A fine, saline wine with an aniseed finish.

The nose carries us away in a lovely, complex cocktail of mango, dried apricot, candied clementine, chili pepper and tomato water.on the palate, the balance is present, fleshy and muscular on elegant yellow fruit, with a mineral and floral impression that gives a silky, delicate whole. The finish is spicy, with a light dusting of cinnamon and nutmeg.

This wine has a pronounced golden color. The nose is fresh, slightly oaky but well-integrated, with pleasant aromas of chestnut honey, hazelnut, pear and eucalyptus. Juicy and ripe on the palate, with notes of peach, caramelized apricot and flowers. The barrel ageing still brings some slightly drying tannins, but these will fade with time. The pastry finish, between vanilla and fleur de sel, combined with pretty bitters, concludes the whole with substance and tension. A luminous wine.

The nose is flattering and lacks neither elegance nor gourmandise, with notes of elderflower, jasmine, almond cake and mirabelle plum. The attack is soft and carries us away in a beautiful suavity. Rich and fruity, with just the right amount of freshness. Spicy notes follow through to a saline, lemony finish. A wine made for the table.

A wine that takes us back to our grandfather's armchair, smelling of leather, blond tobacco, pepper and fig chutney. on the palate, it's very dynamic, with lovely black fruit juiciness and vivacity. The tannins are still a little fiery, but they will quickly refine to accompany a quality mint/chocolate finish.

The nose is deep, with a beautiful expression of violet, blueberry, leather and cedar. On the palate, the texture is velvety with crisp tannins. The amphora ageing gives an impression of crystalline tension, accompanied by lovely salivating bitters. Balance, silky mouthfeel and peppery length make this wine an ideal companion for an evening with friends. A little aeration beforehand will go a long way.

The nose evokes a warm breakfast with milk chocolate, toast and blackberry jam. Some pepper aromas titillate the nostrils and taste buds. A bouquet of flowers and eucalyptus
envelop fresh fruit and vanilla for a racy wine combining vivacity and energy. The tannins, still young, hold back this pretty wine, which purrs and begs to roar. drink within a year or after two hours' decanting.

The nose is typical of Northern Rhône Syrahs, with aromas of blackcurrant, violet and graphite, enhanced by hints of balsamic and pepper. The wine retains a lovely tension
tasting, enabling it to strike the ideal balance between drinkability and power. It's concentrated yet harmonious, sweet yet fresh. Don't hesitate to cellar it for a few more years.
