Loew Alsace Rouge All You Need Is LoewÉtienne Loew — All You Need Is Loew 2025

A deliciously indulgent Pinot Noir. The nose reveals aromas of juicy cherry, blackcurrant, blueberry, and red currant, accented by a hint of licorice and graphite. The palate is fresh and velvety, supported by very supple tannins. A red wine that’s pure pleasure—crisp and generous—ideal for kicking off an evening with friends over a country-style herb terrine.

André FallerAndré Faller — Tradition 2025

The nose offers notes of dark chocolate, rose, pepper, and a subtle hint of nougat. On the palate, it delivers a supple texture, supported by tannins that are still firm but already well-defined. Black cherry, spices, and roasted notes dominate a fresh finish. A wine to be cellared for a few more years before enjoying with a slice of mountain tomme cheese after decanting.

Etienne Simonis Alsace Pinot Noir Les Courbes (2)Étienne Simonis — Pinot Noir

A floral (rose, lily of the valley) and fruity (cherry) profile combined with the freshness of the forest floor (blackberry, wild strawberry) and a hint of eucalyptus. The palate is round and full-bodied while remaining supple and fresh, with a hint of mint. The tannins are still slightly tight, but the wine as a whole shows promising aging potential. Open it a little early to pair it with sesame-crusted seared tuna.

ZimmermmannAlphonse Zimmermann — Pinot Noir 2023

The nose displays a ripe and warm profile, with notes of prune, fig, cocoa, coffee, and garrigue. The concentrated, full-bodied, and generous palate is supported by tannins with hints of cocoa. Closer in style to a southern red than to an Alsatian wine, it will appeal to lovers of full-bodied wines and pairs well with a porcini mushroom risotto or veal sweetbreads.

Materne Haegelin Et Filles Tradition Rouge 2024Materne Haegelin et Filles — Tradition 2024

The nose is dominated by tart red berries, orange, and clementine. Light, fresh, and easy to drink, it prioritizes immediate enjoyment and lifts the spirits. A subtle herbal note and a hint of spice add depth to this cuvée, which exudes conviviality. Perfect for a relaxed meal with friends over bruschetta with sun-dried tomatoes and fresh goat cheese.

Freudenreich Alsace Pinot NoirJean-Luc Freudenreich — Pinot Noir 2024

After a few minutes of aeration, this 2024 vintage reveals a lovely spicy profile where pepper, clove, and ginger accompany notes of blood orange and blackcurrant. On the palate, it has a lovely body, balanced by a lively freshness and a beautiful finish of blackcurrant and cherry. For a unique pairing, serve it with grilled octopus, piquillo peppers, and sweet paprika. Excellent value for the price.

Fleck Domaine René Fleck et Filles— Opulentus 2024

The bouquet blends dried flowers, rose, red berries, vanilla, sandalwood, and a hint of mint. On the palate, it reveals a lovely smoothness that’s lively and dynamic. The tannins and structure are still dominant, indicating the wine’s youth but also its potential. A promising vintage that should come together in a year or two. By then, it will be time to serve it with grilled mackerel and bell peppers.
