Élysée Montmartre Hôtel: calm behind the scenes of Parisian rock
Nestled between the storied walls of the Trianon and Élysée Montmartre, this new 16-room hotel plays the discreetly offbeat card. at first glance, it's nothing more than a light wood storefront on Boulevard de Rochechouart, just where the line of fans stretches out on concert nights. But once you cross the threshold, the hustle and bustle of the exterior fades away, giving way to a hushed universe designed by Julien Labrousse and Abel Nahmias, an inseparable duo in architecture and music production - also owners of the two neighboring concert halls. The lobby has a loft feel, with exposed brickwork recalling the area's industrial past, while furniture in Portuguese eucalyptus wood adds an unexpected softness. A blend of Japanese lines and Scandinavian touches, every nook and cranny exudes the welcome simplicity of this neighborhood, far removed from flashy clichés. Here, you can dream away while sipping a coffee selected from independent roasters, exchange a few words with an artist who has stepped backstage for a moment or, the ultimate luxury, go to a concert without ever having to queue. A discreet refuge from the hustle and bustle of Montmartre.

Salvia, the soul of the Latin Quarter reinvented
just a stone's throw from the Jardin du Luxembourg, opposite the Sorbonne, Salvia reinvents a former 3-star hotel. Its 99 rooms are imbued with the soul of the Quartier Latin, with nods to literary cafés and references to the student world. Some offer a privileged view of the Pantheon, while others are distinguished by bold colors and unexpected decorative elements, giving each space an assertive personality.
But Salvia doesn't stop there. The hotel surprises with its original proposals: a dining cellar where characterful wines meet rare Chinese works found in bookshops, and a room dedicated to medicinal plants. Here, a therapist in residence will share ancient knowledge, inviting guests to immerse themselves in the world of natural remedies.
Bolstered by the Paris Rive Gauche Hotels collection and architects Artefak, Salvia stands out as an alternative to the capital's standardized openings. Much more than a place to pass through, it aims to become a space for experiences and encounters, true to the effervescent spirit of the Left Bank.

Maison Heler, the audacity of Philippe Starck in Metz
a stone's throw from the Centre Pompidou-Metz, a 19th-century house in Lorraine, perched on top of a modern 10-storey building, is set to transform the urban landscape. Designed by Philippe Starck a decade ago, Maison Heler is already intriguing visitors ahead of its opening in March. This audacious project, which combines a contemporary monolithic structure with an unexpected homage to the region's heritage, offers a singular vision of the hotel industry: an assertive blend of extravagance and architectural storytelling.
The hotel's 104 rooms and suites reflect the designer's eclectic universe, with spaces designed to surprise as well as seduce. On the roof, a vegetated terrace offers a spectacular view, blending the silhouette of the yellow stone cathedral with the modern profile of the Centre Pompidou. At the very top, the suspended house, adorned with stained-glass windows designed by Ara Starck, is home to a gourmet restaurant that promises to play as much on the staging as on the content of the plate.
Maison Heler will leave no one indifferent. Some will see it as a welcome audacity, others as an excessive gesture, but one thing is certain: this address will leave no one indifferent. An opening that promises to be the talk of Metz and beyond.

Château Pimo: a confidential escape in the Haut-Var region
in Draguignan, Château Pimo opens its doors in a lovingly restored 18th-century building. With just six rooms and suites, this confidential hotel, perched in the heart of a 3.5-hectare park, favors intimacy and authenticity. This 19th-century mansion, located on chemin de la Garrigue in Draguignan, was bought by Sibylle and Fabien Bihour, who fell in love with the region. The Parisian entrepreneurial couple, eager to transform the building into a prestigious residence, carefully restored it with the help of companies specializing in luxury hotels. Each space blends noble materials and period frescoes, while welcoming a refined design where wood, stone and natural fabrics attempt to sublimate the history of the place without distorting it. At the foot of the building, the spa comes to life where a washhouse once stood, offering a complete wellness area: sauna, hammam, counter-current swimming and massages in a setting bathed in natural light. The outdoor pool, surrounded by olive trees, is simple and charming, yet generous in size. inside, another pool adds a more subdued but no less sporty dimension with its counter-current swimming and hydrotherapy jets.
Surrounded by vineyards, truffle fields and Provencal villages, Château Pimo offers a refreshing vision of upscale hospitality. No unnecessary pomp here, but sincere attention to detail: a lunch overlooking the hills or a stroll through the gardens is enough to capture the essence of the place. An address that manages to embody the discreet charm of the Haut-Var without overdoing it, and that's precisely what appeals.

Le Soleia: Riviera spirit revisited in the heart of Nice
Under the indomitable Riviera sun, Le Soleia is set to rock Nice from March 2025. The latest nugget to emerge from the Inwood Hotels group, this 4-star hotel on boulevard Victor Hugo, a stone's throw from the Old Town and the legendary Promenade des Anglais, plays a balancing act between Nice traditions and resolutely modern touches.
Oscar Ono, of Maison Numéro 20, has imagined a décor where each material and color tells the story of a fragment of the city: textured ceramics, discreet stripes and palettes of ochre, terracotta and aqua green, a direct nod to Nice's emblematic facades. With its 44 rooms, most of which open onto terraces bathed in Nice light, and communal areas where everything seems designed to slow down the pace, Le Soleia invites you to experience the Riviera differently: softer, bolder, and always tinged with the unique light that has seduced generations of artists.
A breakfast area, spacious lobby and bar complete the hotel's offering.

La fondation, a new cultural and hotel epicenter in Paris
To the south of Parc des Batignolles, a former parking lot on Rue Legendre is being radically transformed into La Fondation, an upscale complex of over 10,000 m². Behind this project led by Groupe Galia, architect Philippe Chiambaretta and New York studio Roman & Williams have created a metamorphosis in raw concrete, combining modernist lines and French craftsmanship. The result? A 58-room, ten-storey five-star hotel with a semi-Olympic swimming pool, climbing wall, spa and rooftop view of the Parisian skyline. With a brasserie, a bistronomic restaurant and an extensive cultural agenda (concerts, exhibitions, themed dinners), La Fondation has a clear ambition: to go beyond the simple idea of accommodation to offer a place to live, where travelers, regulars and workers in search of a creative environment rub shoulders.

Villa Cose: Art Nouveau in Colmar's Little Venice
in the heart of Colmar's emblematic Petite Venise district, an 1897 Art Nouveau villa, surrounded by 47 acres of wooded grounds and crossed by the Lauch River, is about to be transformed into an exceptional hotel. Formerly the home of industrialist Gustave Boeschlin, this site steeped in history will enhance the hotel offering in Colmar, on the famous Alsace wine route.
Led by Marie and Nicolas Decker, already at the helm of La Cheneaudière, this ambitious 17 million euro project will create a 5-star hotel-spa with 23 rooms and suites. Each will offer its own unique identity, culminating in a duplex suite with a rooftop infinity pool and private sauna, offering breathtaking views over the city's rooftops. The 1,200 m² spa, designed as a sensory haven, will be another real highlight of Villa Cose. A Mandria di Murtoli: discreet elegance in the heart of the Isle of Beauty
In June, the unspoilt Ortolo valley near Sartène will welcome a new address: A Mandria di Murtoli, which revisits Corsican luxury with a sincere respect for the local heritage. Inspired by the region's pastoral heritage, this four-star hotel comprises five carefully restored buildings: a main house housing a duplex suite and four bedrooms, two redesigned sheepfolds, a stable converted into two adjoining suites with private pools, and a former barn also with its own pool.
Each of these accommodations has direct access to outdoor spaces featuring a swimming pool lined with century-old olive trees reminiscent of the old washhouses, evoking a subtle link between yesterday and today. While the hotel's restaurant serves Italian cuisine under the trees, guests can also head to the nearby Domaine de Murtoli, where they'll find friendly, gourmet dining. An invitation to experience South Corsica without artifice, in the tranquillity of unspoilt nature.

Hôtel SAX, the new place to be on the Parisian Right Bank
Housed in a listed building, Compagnie de Phalsbourg's latest jewel promises to be a showcase for contemporary design, under the influence of the prolific Philippe Starck. While Paris is already overflowing with luxury hotels, the Hôtel de Sax seems intent on playing on a different terrain: that of controlled extravagance. With its 118 rooms and suites, the hotel doesn't seek to impress at all costs, but rather to seduce with its clean-lined spaces and carefully crafted details. The 1,200 m² rooftop, with its direct view of the Eiffel Tower, will undoubtedly be the highlight, but the whole seems designed to create a coherent experience. The bar, nestled in an interior garden, will surely be the setting for lunches and aperitifs that are both intimate and open to the city. A rarity in this district. On the relaxation side, the wellness area - pool, Jacuzzi, fitness room - completes the ensemble without revolutionizing the genre. It's in its overall approach that the SAX Hotel could come into its own: a reinterpretation of luxury that focuses more on comfort and atmosphere than on overkill. With the operation entrusted to Waldorf Astoria, the address should attract an international clientele, as well as Parisians curious to discover this new proposition in the 7th arrondissement.
- Where? 55, Avenue de Saxe, 75007 Paris
- When? Opening planned for June 2025
