at the end of June, the banks of the Loire in Rochecorbon will be transformed into a veritable crossroads of international flavors for the 4ᵉ edition of the Festival International des Poivres. Imagined by Erwann de Kerros, founder of Terre Exotique, the event will bring together producers, chefs and enthusiasts on June 27 and 28, 2026. Free and open to all, it will offer an immersion into the world of peppers and spices from the four corners of the globe, from Laos to Costa Rica, via India and Cameroon.

The program of festivities

Conceived as both an educational and sensory experience, the festival aims to introduce visitors to the diversity and richness of peppers, of which there are several hundred varieties. through this event, Terre Exotique pursues its mission of promoting the terroirs, know-how and human stories behind these everyday products.

For two days, the public will be able to meet a dozen international producers who will be sharing their expertise and culture. The producers' village will be one of the highlights of the festival, offering a rare opportunity for direct exchange with those who grow and harvest these exceptional spices.

The program will also feature culinary demonstrations led by chefs. Cooking, pastry-making and mixology: spices will be explored in all their forms. At the same time, conferences will explore the historical, botanical and cultural dimensions of pepper, while workshops will invite visitors to try their hand at tasting or creating blends, such as homemade curries.

The festival is also intended to be a convivial place, with a gourmet market bringing together artisans and producers, as well as a food court where you can sample dishes inspired by world cuisine. Artistic and musical events will punctuate the weekend, reinforcing the festive and accessible atmosphere of the event.

Last but not least, this event is part of a responsible approach, with attention paid to waste reduction and the promotion of soft mobility to access the site. A way to combine gastronomic discovery and commitment, in a privileged natural setting in the heart of the Loire Valley.
