From the dining room to the kitchen, Florent Linard has been honored with the Young Talent Award
Florent Linard, a self-taught chef, will receive the Young Talent Award for the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region on Monday, June 15, 2026.
It was at Château Seguin in Lignan-de-Bordeaux that Chef Florent Linard of La Table de Florent was presented with the Young Talent Award by Stéphanie Lebot of SYSCO.
An Unconventional Path
After earning his BTS in Hospitality, the young Florent was determined to pursue a career in front-of-house service. He gained experience at La Chapelle Saint-Martin, then at Le Moulin de la Gorce, as well as at the Hôtel de Ville in Crissier. However, a revelation led him to change direction and move to the kitchen. Back in Toulouse, he opened his wine bar, Les Passionnés, with David Torelli and Mickael Sauvage. Then, in 2019, he decided to open Vivants with his partners. In 2025, he opened La Table de Florent in Rochechouart, a restaurant that received its first two Michelin stars a year after opening.
Young Talent Award, one year after opening his restaurant
This award recognizes the work and technique of a self-taught chef. Florent Linard offers an instinctive cuisine, full of personality, guided by the seasons and exceptional local producers. All this takes place in the intimate setting of his eponymous restaurant in the heart of the small village of Rochechouart. Just one year after opening his two-toque restaurant, in recognition of his work as a chef with an unconventional background, he received the Young Talent Award.
