This pastis from Lorraine has nothing to envy from the south of France

Familiar with cognacs, rums, armagnacs and calvados, France is now home to a number of new spirits. Among them, a pastis that comes straight from... eastern France!

La Maison de la Mirabelle has created a collection of spirits: Bellamira. Behind this initiative is the desire to showcase its expertise in aperitifs, using meticulously selected plants. With this pastis, there's no question of denying its origins, quite the contrary. The alcohol is enhanced by the star of Meurthe-et-Moselle: the mirabelle plum. The brand explains:"We're all about making people dream by giving them pleasure, so that every taste experience is a unique journey. It's also about exploring France's different terroirs by exploiting the wide variety of French plants." An astonishing pastis, to be enjoyed elongated with dʼeau and a few ice cubes.

Our opinion on Bellamira pastis

A surprisingly delicate pastis, offering perfectly mastered roundness and gourmandise. Its strength lies in a subtle balance that avoids the pitfall of sweet heaviness while retaining a seductive aromatic richness. Fennel and thyme emerge with elegance, enveloped by notes of mirabelle plum that structure the whole. This Lorraine creation echoes the soul of Provence with authenticity. An original interpretation that reinvents this classic.
