Alexandre Mazzia announces the return of his food truck, Michel
Chef Alexandre Mazzia will reopen his food truck in Marseille at the end of June. This tasty treat comes just in time to kick off the summer!
At the end of June, as summer arrived, Michel—Alexandre Mazzia’s food truck— got a makeover and is back to the delight of food lovers.
Bouncing back to delight (the taste buds)
Following the unfortunate fire in April, the chef of the 5-toques AM restaurant is delighted to announce the return of his food truck, Michel. While the search for a new truck was no easy task, it was essential for the chef and his team to bounce back quickly and not give up:“Beyond the emotional attachment to this truck, it was important to replace it for the people who work exclusively on Michel. We kept them on board, but it wasn’t easy for them. This truck is a real anchor in the neighborhood—for the young people, for the city, for events. It was important for me to bounce back,” explains the chef.

For the new version of the food truck, Alexandre Mazzia and his team called on the same contractor as for the first version of the truck, though they redesigned the space and visual identity. So, at the end of June, right in the heart of Marseille, the brand-new Michel truck—named in honor of the chef’s grandfather—will return to its home.
Elegant, Traveling Street Food
In addition to redesigning the space to offer customers “a unique experience,” this enforced break of a few months gave Alexandre Mazzia the opportunity to rethink certain items on Michel’s menu. The breads were specially redesigned for the food truck’s reopening. Tests were also conducted on some of the best-sellers: Shuriken and the Big Brother.

“We’re back with new gourmet recipes, like our famous ‘shuriken’!” the Michel team enthusiastically announced on Instagram.
