Gault&Millau's review 2025

Ideally located beneath the arcades of the Place des Vosges (the oldest square in Paris, and for many, the most beautiful), this 5-star retreat captivates guests with its elegant and romantic atmosphere, designed by interior designer Didier Benderli. Spacious, quiet, and bathed in natural light, the 56 rooms and suites embody the timeless refinement that has made this hotel so successful, featuring Versailles-style hardwood floors and fireplaces paired with more contemporary furnishings. Most open onto the garden and its lush terrace, where, as soon as the warm weather arrives, guests can enjoy the cuisine of the Anne restaurant—named after Anne of Austria, Queen of France and wife of Louis XIII, who once lived here—now led by Chef Thibault Sombardier, supported by Executive Chef Matthieu Pirola, who offers gourmet cuisine that is precise and elegant, constantly evolving with the seasons and the freshest ingredients. Another highlight is the Spa de la Reine by Codage, which features treatment rooms, a fitness center, a hammam, and a jacuzzi. It’s the perfect way to unwind after a day spent exploring the Marais and the banks of the Seine.
