Gault&Millau's review 2025

A luxurious and intimate retreat, inspired by the actress Cléo de Mérode—muse to Nadar, Proust, and Reynaldo Hahn, who dubbed her “pretty Narcissus”… Just a stone’s throw from Les Invalides, this boutique hotel, nestled in a Haussmann-style building, features 37 generously sized rooms and suites, decorated in shades of sand and white, some of which open onto small terraces overflowing with plants. Equally refined, the Cléo restaurant—whose kitchen has just been entrusted to Chef Alexandre Semperé—offers contemporary, straightforward, and generous cuisine centered on plant-based ingredients, seafood, and precise flavors, served in a dining room topped by a large glass roof overlooking the patio. The final highlight of this venue (which has no shortage of them) is a sleek wellness area featuring a 13-meter pool with a counter-current swimming system, a hot tub, a fitness room, and treatment rooms offering personalized massages provided by Anne Semonin.
