Gault&Millau's review 2025

In 1474, the Hundred Years' War had just ended, and the Viguier de Ricard brothers decided to build a new mill on the ruins of the old one, burnt down during the fighting. Ambitious and visionary, they chose to equip it with four millstones, making it the largest mill in the South-West. The building was to play a key role in our history, transformed into a luxury hotel during the Roaring Twenties, a secret shelter for Jewish families during the war, with the help of Moissac's inhabitants, and then once again into a hotel in the 1970s, where it played host to the likes of Catherine Deneuve. Now owned by the Dass-Arcole couple, the address has regained its prestige and all its charms... On the menu: 35 luminous rooms and suites, a restaurant offering local cuisine skilfully revisited by chef Latifa Mourchid and served on a large terrace overlooking the water.
