Proudly overlooking Lake Gérardmer, this 19th-century manor house recounts the elegant history of Vosges vacationing, when the bourgeoisie came in search of freshness and nature in this Alpine setting. Carefully restored, the hotel has preserved the soul of the past while offering contemporary comfort. Its 18 rooms and suites, divided between the Manoir and the Villa des Grands Bois, are bathed in light, dressed in noble materials and, in some cases, open onto magnificent lake views. The spa, with pool and hammam, extends the sense of tranquility conveyed by the gardens. For dinner, chef Quentin Renollaud offers a four- or five-course menu at La Table du Manoir, where the finesse of the dishes rivals the beauty of the panorama. On summer evenings, you can linger on the terrace, facing the lake as it glows in the sunset. An intimate, refined setting where the Vosges art of living is reinvented.
