Gault&Millau's review 2025

On the edge of the gardens of the Château de Fontainebleau, this 4-star boutique hotel (formerly La Demeure du Parc) occupies a former residence of the Marquis Louis d'Oger de Cavoye, Grand Maréchal des logis of Louis XIV. The property was acquired in 1659 to remain as close as possible to the King. Now transformed into an elegant 33-key hotel, it retains the soul of the place while offering modern comforts. The inner courtyard, punctuated by a fishpond, leads to luminous rooms and suites, where antique floors, exposed beams and period furniture rub shoulders with contemporary touches. Soft hues, fine fabrics and the warmth of wood create a subtle dialogue between past and present. The restaurant, bathed in light under a glass roof, extends the experience in a spirit of dolce vita. A precious address, a stone's throw from the imperial estate, to reconnect with history in an exceptional setting.
