Gault&Millau's review 2025

Built in the 1960s around an old alpine hamlet, La Rosière is still one of the most authentic and well-preserved resorts in the Alps. Just a stone's throw from the chairlift giving access to the Espace San Bernardo, this hotel collection has chosen to inaugurate its first address in the mountains. Its 69 rooms and suites (perfect for families, with bunk beds) feature contemporary tones, sleek furnishings and, for the most part, balconies. Head to the Le Bonami restaurant for excellent local cuisine and, depending on your mood, opt for one of the two rooms, the first with its rustic, cosy atmosphere, or the other, more festive, with its large bar and fireplace. Since this winter, the hotel has been home to the Le Mazot restaurant, dedicated to the pleasures of the mountains (fondues, raclettes, tartiflettes and onion soups). The latest feature of this new refuge is a 420 m2 spa combining glass and wood, with sauna, hammam, indoor and outdoor whirlpools, a 16 m swimming pool and, last but not least, 3 cabins offering exclusive Pure Altitude treatments.
