Gault&Millau's review2025
Right in the center of Biarritz, this Art Deco hotel has been given a new lease on life by Sarah Lavoine, who has skilfully blended Belle Époque style and marine inspirations to instill a chic, contemporary and relaxed spirit. All open onto the ocean below, the 19 rooms and suites are decorated in the designer's signature blues and greens, with natural oak parquet flooring, pebble-shaped ottomans and ropes from the deck of a ship. This same spirit extends to the Café Basque, one of today's hottest dining spots, where guests can enjoy locavore cuisine led by Cédric Béchade (also chef at L'Auberge Basque, Saint-Pée-sur-Nivelle), served in the seaside blue salons in winter and on the large terrace in fine weather.
