Gault&Millau's review2025
This is undoubtedly one of the finest Parisian openings of the year. Just a stone's throw from the Opéra and the very Japanese Rue Sainte-Anne, this refuge has been conceived as halfway between Parisian chic and Japanese serenity. DA Olivier Leone and interior designer Laura Gonzalez were responsible for the hotel's design, which is nestled in a historic Parisian building. The 25 rooms and suites exude a very Japanese purity, with their sliding washi paper partitions and lanterns that seem to have come straight from Kyoto, all tempered by beautiful fabrics by Pierre Frey. Equally exotic, the restaurant offers a remarkable experience under the leadership of chef Shirley Carrier, who deliciously blends French tradition and Japanese spirit. Just a stone's throw away, the bar offers sakes and umeshu plum liqueur, while the basement spa offers a very "rising sun" sense of well-being, with a sleek swimming pool and treatment rooms featuring the famous kobido massages.
