Gault&Millau's review 2025

Just 45 minutes from Lyon and set amidst 80 hectares of vineyards, this medieval château has been redesigned over the years and is now a haven for lovers of nature, history and fine wines... Here, days can be spent exploring the Brouilly and Morgon vineyards, strolling through the château's formal gardens designed by Le Nôtre, playing a game of tennis just a stone's throw from the swimming pool or taking a break in the chic spa. Then it's on to one of the 62 rooms and suites (48 of which are duplexes) decorated with the same refinement, featuring period woodwork and contemporary furnishings. A luxurious and serene stopover that also offers the tasty privilege of sampling gourmet cuisine in the attractive dining room.
