Gault&Millau's review 2025

Just a stone's throw from a sumptuous forest and on the banks of the little river Blavet, this estate - a Relais & Châteaux member - has just reopened its doors after an ambitious restoration that has restored all its charms. Bright and ultra-comfortable, the 47 rooms and suites are divided between the Château, the manor house and the former stables, not to mention three family-friendly retreats in rather unusual locations - the former chicken coop, the janitor's cottage and even a trawler in the garden near the swimming pool. Guests come here to enjoy the exquisite charm of the surroundings, as well as the exquisite cuisine offered by Yann Maget, who delights with witty recipes from both land and sea, in the Maison Alyette bistro and the l'Inattendu gourmet restaurant, whose dining room is adorned with a sumptuous glass roof. Last but not least, the Sothys-branded Macha spa, housed in former stables, boasts a steam room, sauna, massage cabins and a stunning 17-metre-long swimming pool.
