Gault&Millau's review 2025

In the heart of Courchevel 1850, the brand celebrates the love of beauty with this sumptuous chalet palace and its 36 rooms and suites designed by Sybille de Margerie and Pierre-Marie Couturier. The rooms and suites feature noble woods and distressed leathers, velvets, taffetas and tadelakt, all enhanced by works of art and design objects. Each detail infuses an idea of luxury and modernity: the immense amber onyx bar, the "Hair Room Service by John Nollet" (the hairdresser to the stars) or the Dior and Vuitton boutiques. The 600 m2 Guerlain spa boasts a spectacular pool and fitness room, Jacuzzi and cold-water well, not to mention outstanding massages (including the exceptional après-ski). Also not to be missed, Le 1947 at Cheval Blanc, led by Yannick Alléno, set in a vibrant decor imagined by Sybille de Margerie.
