Gault&Millau's review2025
The three 17th- and 18th-century buildings have been reunited and transformed into a luxurious 5-star hotel, all under the guidance of artistic director Franck Durand and Festen, the chicest architectural duo of the moment. The result is a perfect blend of the old and the new - carpets with gilded foliage patterns and Louis XIII armchairs, whitewashed walls and Art Deco lighting. The 31 bright, spacious rooms and suites reflect this eclecticism, with a special mention for the Voltaire suite, worthy of an apartment, with its dining room, bedroom and living room extended by a garden-terrace designed by Louis Benech... On the first floor, regulars swear by the La Coquille d'Or bar and its New York cocktails (excellent Manhattan) or the Émil brasserie, with its glazed ceramics, bistro chairs and white cloth tablecloths. Located in the heart of Paris, this refreshing site also offers the delights of its spa, with pool and hammam. All owned by Thierry Gillier, founder of the Zadig & Voltaire brand.
