The three 17th- and 18th-century buildings were combined and transformed into a luxurious 5-star hotel, all under the guidance of artistic director Franck Durand and the architectural firm Festen. The result is flawless, featuring a perfect blend of the old and the new—carpets with golden foliage patterns and Louis XIII armchairs, whitewashed walls, and Art Deco light fixtures. Spacious and bright, the 32 rooms and suites embody this eclectic style, with a special mention for the Voltaire Suite, which is as spacious as an apartment, featuring a dining room, bedroom, and living room that open onto a garden terrace designed by Louis Benech… On the ground floor, regulars swear by La Coquille d’Or bar and its New York-style cocktails (an excellent Manhattan) or the Émil brasserie, with its glazed ceramics, bistro chairs, and white cloth tablecloths. Located in the heart of Paris, this refreshing spot also offers the delights of its spa, complete with a pool and hammam. The entire property is owned by Thierry Gillier, founder of the Zadig & Voltaire brand.
