Gault&Millau's review 2025

Ideally situated at the top of the Saint-Émilion hill, this estate - famous for its premier grand cru classé - offers its guests the charm of three refuges, ready to cater to everyone's desires. The 18th-century château houses 5 bedrooms upstairs, while the first floor features salons and a sumptuous dining room, all of which can be privatized for dinners or special events. Nearby, a splendid blond stone building offers 2 bedrooms and an upstairs suite with a more arty feel. La Maison des Vignes, below, houses 2 bedrooms on either side of a living room with old terracotta floor tiles, country furniture and large sofas for lazing in front of the fireplace. Whichever you choose, you'll enjoy the delights of the large swimming pool, the immense park or the restaurant led by the inspired David Charrier. And the best is yet to come, with a 4x4 tour of the vineyards and a visit to the winery, one of the most spectacular in Gironde.
