Gault&Millau's review 2025

Not far from Poitiers and Futuroscope, this 18th-century château nestles in the heart of a bucolic park, refreshed by a river. Now converted into a hotel, divided between three buildings (the château, the former conciergerie and the Pavillon), it offers 41 rooms to the many travelers who wish to extend their stay after discovering La Table du Clos, run by Cédric Ravaud, who also offers cooking classes. Designed with the well-being of guests in mind, the hotel boasts a vast spa with swimming pool, whirlpool and cabins for personalized treatments and massages. After a wellness break, you're spoilt for choice: take advantage of the hotel's many activities (exhibitions by local artists, mini-concerts) or explore the region's hiking trails, including a lovely walk through the marshes.
