Exceptional Hotel Born from the merger of La Cabro d'Or and L'Oustau de Baumanière, Baumanière is a magical place founded by Raymond Thuilier, a fellow member of the Gault&Millau tandem in the 1960s. Jean-André Charial, his grandson, succeeded him in 1969 and still owns this majestic estate, where he runs the kitchens. A piece of Eden, a member of Relais & Chateaux, set in the heart of the exceptional mineral nature of Les Baux-de-Provence, Baumanière comprises 5 buildings surrounded by a 20-hectare park covered with flowers, olive trees and tall yews: l'Oustau, the historic residence; la Maison de famille, a private villa; le Manoir, an 18th-century bastide; and, finally, Flora and Carita, 2 country retreats. The ensemble comprises 53 exquisitely tasteful rooms, with their ochre monochromes, natural materials and furnishings, either sourced from L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue or signed by designers. A stone's throw away, l'Oustau de Baumanière invites guests to discover the gastronomic cuisine of Glenn Viel, while La Cabro d'Or showcases the Provencal cuisine of Michel Hulin. Last but not least, a spa as intimate as it is refined, with a fitness area and 6 cabins offering body and facial treatments by Sisley and Une Olive en Provence. La Place des Artisans recently opened its doors, with its Chocolaterie, Atelier de Céramiste and Boutique.
