Winemaker
Nestled on clay-limestone and volcanic (basalt) soils, the château is a house full of history, which today offers several forms of public reception (bed & breakfast, seminars, events). Since 2001, the 200-hectare property has belonged to Pierre and Nicole Guénant, who have given the wines the name Villa Baulieu. The vineyard is planted in the crater of an ancient volcano at an altitude of 400 m, which preserves its freshness. 50% reds and 50% whites are produced here, with ambitious ageing processes.
