Roaster Founded in the heart of Burgundy in the early 1920s, the Senoble cheese dairy has since been handed down from generation to generation. In 1990, Marc Senoble decided to take the company in a crucial direction, refocusing on the dessert market. In 2017, the first boutique-restaurant-tea room saw the light of day, just a stone's throw from the gardens of the Palais Royal. Entremets, French-style cheesecakes, macarons, fruit tarts, operas, petits choux, éclairs and ice creams are no match for the creations of the best pastry chefs, but it's obviously the house specialty, the astonishing Île Flottante revisited, in the form of a meringue dome enclosing a vanilla cream and a runny caramel that's a must-try. On the upper floor of the patisserie-tea room, the restaurant offers a very short savoury menu, renewed daily, with, of course, the possibility of tasting the house pastries for dessert.
