Pastry chef, chocolatier, confectioner and ice-cream maker, Jean-Luc Battu plays all these roles with talent in this pretty boutique with its old-fashioned gourmet shopfront. A disciple of Escoffier, he makes the most of the riches and traditions of Provence for his candied fruit and pastry creations. Try the Ventoulet with apricots and Muscat de Beaumes de Venise, or the Soleil Pernois with candied melon, raspberry and almond.
