Bakery On Rue du Chariot, breads are made the old-fashioned way, with organic flour from the Marion mill in the Ain region, natural leavening and a wood-fired oven that bakes like in the good old days. Bastien Malugani, who we can watch working in his bakery, shapes the bread by hand most of the night for our morning pleasure. An airy, creamy crumb, a delicious brown crust, the likes of which you don't see much anymore. Loaves by the slice, such as the Caboche with rye sourdough, apple, walnuts and poppy seeds, the Perroquet, as well as baguettes, viennoiseries and pastries. Open from 6.30am to 7.30pm Monday and Tuesday, Friday to Sunday.
