Winemaker Jane Eyre, who is Australian, discovered Pinot Noir while working for a wine merchant in Melbourne. After studying oenology and travelling extensively, she settled in Beaune. She then trained with the great Burgundy estates, and founded Maison Jane Eyre in 2011, thanks in part to purchases of grapes in Savigny-lès-Beaune. Her style? Fine, infused Pinot with little oak, with a desire to preserve ripe, delicate fruit on the mid-palate, accessible from their youth.
