Butchery Maurice and Christian Depoux succeeded each other in this family business, founded in 1952. Today, the third generation is at work, with Hubert and Vincent following in the footsteps of their well-honed expertise, with a modern twist. Communication tools have made it possible to promote craftsmen who still have talent and scruples. Depoux is one of them. Qualichef accredited since 2013 and Artisan gourmand de Nouvelle-Aquitaine since 2015, it plays an active role in gastronomic weeks: Made in Meat, Charcuterie Week, discovering the trade with school groups, etc. Mousse de foie, fromage de tête, terrine grand-mère, jambon blanc with no added nitrite salt are all on the shelves. Everything is homemade, and our specialties are well worth the detour. Come and taste home-made sausage, "Cabossé du Limousin", pâté de couennes, potato pâté, the famous "pâté creusois" and many others... The butcher's shop is not to be outdone. All the meats on display come from animals selected by Hubert in and around the Évaux-les-Bains area. A well-maintained Facebook page features a number of delicious recipes for preparing meats. And the delicatessen preparations are made in the same Depoux style.
