La Ferme du Petit Borgé is a small-scale farm where cows, calves, sheep, and pigs lead a good life. Between winter on the farm and summer pastures, the livestock thrives stress-free in an environment conducive to their well-being. Since 2021, Clara, Julien, and their apprentice have been caring for 100 dairy cows, 50 sheep, and 12 pigs with minimal mechanization, supplying local shops with fine mountain dairy products: tomme, raclette, meule, Beaufort, yogurt, and fresh milk, as well as meat boxes (lamb, pork, beef) available for purchase in the fall by reservation. To discover the flavors of these authentic products, visit the markets in Valloire and Valmeinier, as well as the farm shop, which is open daily from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. except on Tuesdays during the winter, and from Wednesday through Sunday from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. during the summer. In the spring, it’s best to call ahead before visiting.
