Pastry
Sweet treats and pleasures for the eyes as well as the taste buds are on the menu at this pretty address nestled right in the center of Strasbourg. Laura, a school teacher, swapped her classroom for this patisserie-tea room, where she set up her own business shortly after obtaining her CAP. Here, everything is homemade, using local produce as much as possible, with proposals that change with the seasons and arrivals, and sweets that are balanced and sweetened just enough to let the tastes express themselves. The tempting window displays five creative entremets and the year-round Audacieux Citron (lemon basil). A range of 9 cookies, complemented by ephemeral creations in a variety of cookie forms over the months, will delight gourmets! Viennoiseries, plain or chocolate-hazelnut flaky brioches, marble cake and a gluten-free version with lemon and passion fruit round out the sweet offerings, while at lunchtime, Jaune Citron offers a wide variety of savoury rolls and brioche buns filled with good produce, including one vegetarian. In a place as delicate in color as her pastries, Laura shares her passion for taste and transmission through workshops for adults and children. On site or to take away.
