Winemaker
After producing 45 vintages at Petrus, Jean-Claude Berrouet and his son Jean-François are now devoting themselves to their own estates. They are at the helm of 10.5 ha in mountain-saint-émilion at Vieux Château Saint- André; 2 ha in lalande-de-pomerol at Château Samion; and produce a Basque wine from Irouléguy, the land of their ancestors, at Herri Mina (Le Mal du Pays). Of their wines, they say "the only recipe for making a great wine is to listen to nature with humility."
