Winemaker
The Plageoles are the stars of Gaillac, and they're having a lot of fun blurring the lines. There's Robert, Bernard and now Florent and Romain. Here they replanted forgotten grape varieties (ondenc, prunelart, marocain gris, morrastel, jurançon noir, piquepoul gris, verdanel, braucol, duras, loin de l'œil, muscadelle, mauzac vert, mauzac roux), and created the Gaillac "vin de voile", made from mauzac, which remains in barrel for seven years. These are exclusively single-varietal wines, aiming for purity and uprightness.
