Winemaker
Michael Paetzold, an oenologist trained in Bordeaux, moved to the Fenouillèdes region in 2005 to create Domaine Mastrio, which became Domaine Paetzold in 2015, and has been certified organic since 2012. This 15-hectare vineyard is mainly planted with century-old vines. The terroir proudly displays its assets: minerality, powerful wind, sun, dry climate and altitude. This balance is complemented by low rainfall. Impossible to escape the strength of this place!
