Winemaker
Domaine de Villaine has been based in Bouzeron, the first village on the Côte Chalonnaise, since 1971. For centuries, it has produced wines with strong personality, notably from the golden aligoté grape variety, but also from chardonnay and pinot noir. Pierre de Benoist has run the estate since 2003. The 30 hectares have been farmed organically since 1986. The Bouzeron AOC is made exclusively from Aligoté grapes.
