Winemaker
Château Plaisance, a small 30-hectare vineyard on the highest terrace of the Tarn, has been run by the Penavayre family for several generations. A driving force behind the revival of the Frontonnais region for over twenty years, Marc Penavayre, joined by his son Thibaut, vinifies grape variety by grape variety to preserve the typicity of the wines. He interprets the local grape variety, négrette, in a way that reflects its identity. The estate has been certified organic since 2011.
