The large, famous turquoise building with red lettering is a temple: one enters it with respect and devotion; regulars know exactly which caviar they’ll choose, while visitors marvel at the setting and gaze in awe at the display cases: smoked salmon, blinis, koulibiak and other pastries, foie gras, truffles, and numerous desserts, crème fraîche, horseradish, and various sauces, taramas and spreads, wines, and spirits. Most of the items can be sampled on the spot.
