Brewer Founded in 1998 by Belgian-born Joël Halbardier, the microbrewery aims to combat industrial techniques by producing according to the traditions for which the beverage is renowned. Today, it offers six cuvées: Saint-Alphonse blonde, Saint-Alphonse amber, brune, Meid'la, a top-fermented blonde made exclusively from Alsatian hops, brisach in Strisselspalt, and Colmar Pils in tribute to its illustrious namesake from the Colmar brewery.
