Brewer
The charming Avesnois village of Gussignies is home to a microbrewery. Alain Bailleux, restaurateur and son of a brewery-engineer, has been making his own beers since 1989, pairing them with regional cuisine. Cuvée des Jonquilles" is a pure malt, unfiltered blonde on lees. Top-fermented and refermented in the bottle, it has a strength of 7%. We're also tempted by its amber cousin "Saint-Médard Saison", which also exists in brown.
