Bakery On the Swiss border between Pontarlier and Morteau, this village is home not only to the magnificent Montbenoît Abbey, but also, since 2023, to Ti'bout de pain, run by Deborah Bonnet and Romain Rollard. From 5 a.m. on weekdays, you'll be able to inhale the bewitching aromas of pure butter breads and pastries - Romain's Breton origins oblige! Baguettes Tradition, Viking bread and pain du sportif rub shoulders with magnificent Breton specialties such as Kouign-Amann, plain or with raspberries (new in 2025), Far Breton and Palets Breton, not forgetting Franc-Comtois nuggets such as gâteau de ménage, sweet and savoury sèches, the excellent goumeau with crème pâtissière... and a fine range of snacks. Here, everything is 100% made on the premises, and short circuits are favored to guarantee the traceability of ingredients: charcuterie and meat from the Montbenoît butcher, flour from the Parcey mill in the Jura... Deborah and Romain listen to their customers' suggestions to innovate and satisfy their taste buds. A wonderful address!
