Creator of the Coupe du Monde de Boulangerie, son of a baker, MOF in 1986, Christian Vabret is also one of the most ardent defenders of French-style baking in the media and among politicians. He is head of the famous Ecole Française de Boulangerie in Aurillac, where the Vabret loaf, made from stone-ground flour, has become the house specialty, and people come from far and wide for the remarkable stone-ground and sourdough loaves.
