Solemme
Located in Villers-aux-Nœuds, a few kilometers south of Reims on the Reims-Epernay axis, Domaine Solemme cultivates 6 ha of vines on five Premier Cru terroirs on the Reims mountain and another in the Ardre valley. The varied geology of the soils (chalk, clay-limestone, silt, sand) and the exposure dominated by the plains and mid-slopes enable the three Champagne grape varieties to express themselves to the full. The estate converted to organic farming in 2010, and all the vineyards have been certified since 2018. Biodynamic methods are applied both on the estate and in the winemaking process. Solemme is constantly seeking to improve its farming practices to bring the soil to life. In addition to grass cover and natural substances, the estate uses biodynamic methods to promote harmony between the vines and their natural environment.
