Winery presentation by Gault&Millau
It's a place steeped in history: as early as the 12th century, a monastic community from the Grandmont Abbey settled here, giving birth to the Prieuré de Montézargues. Charmed by the beauty of the site, the Richard family acquired the estate in 2003. It was their 3rd acquisition in the southern Rhône valley, following Château la Nerthe, in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and Domaine de la Renjarde, in the Massif d'Uchaux. The 34-hectare estate produces wine in the Tavel appellation, a rosé-only appellation. The estate has been certified organic since 2013.
