Gault&Millau's review 2026

The wine's garnet-red color reveals orange reflections, indicative of its advanced evolution. On the nose, it's clearly vinous, with a pinot of ripe cherry and red fruit in brandy. Cream of rose, strawberry and a hint of licorice, topped with toasty and vanilla notes. On the palate, the wine's vinosity is confirmed, with a lovely chewy, tannic structure, but silky and racy. The bubbles are creamy but discreet. Retro-olfaction on red fruit, coffee and spices is an invitation to savor. The acidity begins to drop a little on the finish, with a light saline touch, which keeps a little pep, to which are added notes of undergrowth, flowers and a touch of chocolate. A superb expression of an old, well-made champagne, destined for the table.
