Coming from a family of winemakers spanning four generations, the Loriots have been growing grapes for over two centuries and have been producing their own champagnes since 1920. Maryse, Gérard, and their son Florent cultivate just under 10 hectares, spread across more than 52 plots in the Marne Valley in the villages of Mesnil-le-Huttier, Leuvrigny, and Festigny. Here, Meunier takes center stage; it is the valley’s dominant grape variety and accounts for more than 80% of the estate’s vineyards. The champagnes are aged for 3 to 4 years in the cellar before being released.
